2/17/2010 Meeting - Practice Gear Distribution and Stuff
On Wednesday, 2/17/2010, we'll meet in the Health Room at 4:30p (as originally announced) for one hour as a final charge before practices start on 2/22/2010, the following Monday. (Our final preseason "fun" run will precede this meeting at 3:30p that day. Or, if you haven't conducted the concussion baseline test, have it conducted starting at 3:15p - 3:30p.)
We will:
o review expectations for captains and provide team input to aid the coaches in captain selection
o conduct a brief overview of our season's first 4 weeks practices and scrimmages
o review how to dress and come prepared to practice
o outline goalie training and selection process
o distribute sweatshirts, sweatpants, practice pinnies, and practice shorts
o address any questions as we prepare to commence our season
Before collecting practice gear, each athlete needs to have completed the following checklist:
o IHSAA physical turned in to Athletic Department (most are in!)
o Concussion testing completed (or scheduled for W, R, or F) with AD Trainer, Andy Shaffer
o Athlete Code of Conduct turned into Coach - available on Athletic Director Web site under Resource Center - Forms
Please review the last week of posts for other pertinent information, including the fact that our practice and game schedule is now available.
If you have any questions about anything related to season commencement, or if you have a conflict in attending this meeting, ping Coach Teeter by email, CTeeter625@gmail.com, FaceBook, or phone, (317) 750-5098.
As of this post, only 10 day and 5 hours until we start up. It's our time. FireUp!

2010 Spring Schedule is Posted
Our practice and game schedule is posted on the HCS Women's Lacrosse Team Schedule Page
http://www.heritagechristian.net/sysflash/Athletics/schedule_hs_girls_lacrosse.htm
This schedule is VERY accurate through Spring Break. Any changes to the schedule through March will be highlighted with a BLOG post. (Thus, you can enter this into your personal calendars.) There will be several "tweaks" to our schedule in April/May adjusting practice times and possibly adding a game or two.
Note, this is a GREAT February/March Schedule. Our practices are all on Turf, where we play. Except for a JV Scrimmage Day on March 13 at Westfield, all of our games are at HCS in March!
Note also, there are two JV games on April 19 at Cathedral when we have no Varsity game scheduled.

Pick up Rugby shirts after school on Thursday!
Hey hey! Our rugby shirts are in. (See picture in last week's posting.) And, several of the team members have requested that we have them so we can wear them to school on Friday (Colts!, Dad's lunch). So, pick your shirts up in the HS Commons immediately after school on Thursday.
Look for your teammates during the respective lunch sessions on Friday. We can chat lacrosse and Colts with the dads.
