Wow!
Our first 8 days of games were outstanding for our program! ... a real testament to what can happen when a group with a common ideal system comes together united for a cause. These young women are great athletes and even better people.
As we've discussed as a team, our season is more than half over from a practice perspective - 25 practices to date, just 22 to go. ... but, just beginning from a game perspective.
Everything is up to date on our Schedule Page. ... but, want to highlight a couple things:
o Monday's practice is at 3:30p. It always has been. But, this differs from the routine of the first three weeks.
o Tuesday's game is Varsity only. It always has been. But, this differs from the chant that Coach Teeter has been using when viewing the road ahead to Spring Break. What's changed is the game time. Arrive on campus by 6:30p for a game at 7:30p. JV-only rostered players are not required to attend. There is no JV practice on Tuesday.
o Wednesday, per normal, practice at 3:30p, devotional at 5:00p. This is our last activity as a team until returning from Break to practice at 7:00p on Monday, April 12.
o Monday, April 19, is not in error. We have two JV games that day at Cathedral. Varsity practices. (Thank you to several who are looking ahead and have noted that that doesn't look right.)
o Saturday, May 1, we've added three JV games at a Play Day hosted by Brebeuf. As of now, there is no Varsity activity scheduled that day. Our situation at that point in the season will dictate whether we practice that day or not.
Our continued prayers to those nursing injuries and those who have been drawn from the team.

Happy Monday Heritage Christian Women's Lacrosse Fans -
The HCS Women's Lacrosse Team launched their season on Saturday with a 55 - 15 goal scoring barrage across 2 Varsity and 3 JV games. 24 players of the 37 rostered were engaged in the surge backed up by tenacious defense in front of goalies Lizzle Kendrat and Tara Longardner.
The fun has only just begun as we host rival Westfield at 6p on Tuesday and arch rival Noblesville on Friday at 6p. Free tickets for all HCS students will be available at the "will call" window for these games. Bring family, friends, and people you meet on the street to see a couple of early season brawls.

Fees: There is a gate fee being collected for all home lacrosse games. For Saturday, we are told that it is a “day fee” and not a per game fee. I believe it is all day for $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for kids. (again free day admittance for volunteers in concession and admission workers)
Finally, we will be trying something new at the concession stand: We will be selling McAllister Deli box lunches for $6.00 for a sandwich, cookie, and bottle of water. We will see if it is something that is a benefit to those family’s spending the day at the field.

Tuesday Night - Blue/White Game - Details
... have received lots of questions pertaining to the Blue/White game on Tuesday night. The Blue/White game is an intrasquad competition that involves every player on the team. We conduct a dress rehearsal of sorts. The players wear uniforms and play a regulation game with clock, scoring, and officials.
It is confined to the regular practice slot. ... taking the field at 7:00p, stretching as a single team, but then completing warmups as separate squads. The actual game starts around 7:30p. And, the evening ends with a team run to get reunited! A concluding prayer is conducted in the center circle and families and friends are welcome to join the team on the field.

Heads Up! ... Practice Schedule This Week
This is not a change to the Practice Schedule, rather just a reminder that this week's practice schedule varies from the previous three weeks. Specifically, on Monday and Thursday we practice at 3:30p, right after school, instead of 7:00p. And, on Tuesday, families and friends are invited to practice to watch our Blue/White game - a full field, in uniform, regulation game, with officials.

USLacrosse Membership
For those not attending the parent meeting and as a reminder to others, USLacrosse membership is required for playing in any IHSWLA games, including Saturday. (There are many benefits of membership, but for league liability purposes, one is secondary insurance.) Please follow the attached link to apply for membership or make sure your membership is current. (Any player who played in HS or MS last year already has a number, but maybe not current.)
https://secure.uslacrosse.org/default.cfm?fuse_action=NewMem
If already current, no need to conduct further action. If recently current (or new), ping Coach Teeter with an email or text with new expiration date (and USL #).

Saturday Overview
IF YOU READ THIS POST BEFORE 10P ON THURSDAY, NOTE THIS HAS MAJOR REVISIONS We have a lot of lacrosse scheduled in the coming week. So, for these (very) short scrimmages on Saturday, we decided not to have a lot of the team standing around for only a few minutes of field time.
On Saturday, we will participate in a JV Play Day at Westfield High School. We play three 20 minute games.
9:00a Noblesville
10:15a Culver
1:10p Park Tudor
The following players will participate and should dress in their practice attire with pinny on the black side for the 9:00a and 10:15a games arrival time 8:00a:
Longardner, Goff, Morris, Yeary, Meador, Hults, Sato, M Pok, Fritz, E Teeter, Baldwin, Freeman, Taylor, Canfield, Thomas, McGrew
The following players will participate and should dress in their practice attire with pinny on the black side for the 1:10p game arrival time noon:
Longardner, Eads, Yeary, Meador, Sato, Wolfe, Harms, R Ehringer, Elskus, Baldwin, Znachko, Ferrara, Schlegal, Bradney, S Ehringer, McAvoy.
Players listed on both slots should provide their own food/sack lunch and beverage/water. There will be no team food provided, contrary to our earlier note.
All other players are welcome (not expected) to attend and support the team during any part of the day.
A map to the facility is linked here: http://cms.wws.k12.in.us/images/District%20Map04-color.jpg
Note that the high school (and the lacrosse/soccer facility) is best accessed from driving further up Hwy 31 to 181st Street and not turning on Hwy 32. (Do not be fooled by their football stadium at the NE intersection of Hwy 31/Hwy 32.)
Bus transportation will be part of all away games in the future. We play all home games after this thru Spring Break.

HCS Spring Sports Parent Meeting and 3/9 Practice/Scrimmage
As a reminder, the HCS Spring Sports Parent Meeting will be conducted Wednesday night, starting at 6p in the Elementary Building Athena Room. Following a 20 - 30 minute general meeting for all sports, we will conduct a lacrosse specific meeting that will last just 45 minutes.
Per tomorrow, Tuesday night, a scrimmage is listed on our schedule. It's going to look a lot more like a practice. Our opponent, Guerin, and a subset of mostly sophomores and freshmen from our team will each practice on half field for an hour. Then we will set up two half field scrimmages for 45 minutes to an hour. Although we will have officials, they'll be there to help educate these newer players to the various calls. There'll be no scorekeeping or clock.
The evening will be very uninteresting and cold for any spectators. If you normally pick up your daughter after practice, it might be fun to come a couple minutes early. Other than that, we have plenty of games coming later.
